One of the most awesome things that you will see in AOC is the animation and spell effects. They are out of this world. You will stop playing and just drool every time you cast a spell or do a finishing move

I can say this, the game is fun. I'm on the general beta and I've been having a blast, although casters aren't were I'd like to see them yet. Expect a huge patch at launch too would be my guess. I can't say much more but even in it's beta state the game is a blast to play.

I heard that an open beta or stress test would happen next week, has anyone else heard anything? I really want something to replace WoW, and wouldn't mind giving AoC a shot, but I just wanted to mess around with it a bit before I committed to it.

I was in the stress test past sunday got to play for 6 min
But it was an awesome 6 min

Dont know if there will be an open beta.. I dont think funcome likes that sort of thing.
They will probably not let go of the NDA until launch either. They are insecure about their game

I have already preordered it and it said everyone who preorders will get to play 3 days before everyone else

There is an "open" beta this weekend. By open I mean 15,000 keys on Gamespot. I'm not sure if you can still apply, but I think you can...The keys go out today and tomorrow in waves and it is a PVP focus event. You will start in only PVP type areas and your character will be level 20. It starts Friday at 4:00 PM (I think) and ends Monday at the same time (I think)...lol...Hope I can at least get into this event...I applied for beta over a year ago and have plenty of beta experience and a decent PC...Bah...
