Hello all, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop model 2435-S255 and it has Nvidia Geforce4 MX420 Go (32MB) graphics...i ran both Sabayon Linux 3.26 and Ubuntu Feisty (7.04) which use one of the 9xxx series Nvidia drivers as the 3D/nvidia-glx driver. Now whenever i'm running with that driver, the LCD in my laptop refuses to work. If i don't have a external monitor connected, X never works and if i do have a external monitor hooked up, i only have any sort of display on the external monitor. When i drop down to one of the CLI sessions and edit the xorg.conf to use the Nvidia driver built-in to Xorg, the LCD works, but the external monitor doesn't...i don't game or do much XGL/AIGLX/Beryl stuff, but there is one thing i need and that's dual-monitor and for some reason, dual-monitor only works when i'm using the 3D drivers and TwinView so i need to use said driver. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you all in advance for a quick reply JD |

Without seeing a bug report, its impossible to guess at what might be wrong on your system.

Try adding the following option to the Device section of xorg.conf:
Option "UseDisplayDevice" "DFP" |

You wouldn't use that option at all if you wished to setup Twinview.
