Soloing is necessary though to advance through the game. You party up for instances, but you have to solo for your tradeskills, etc. Later in the game however you really need to group to finish quests, and you spend the majority of the game at level 30+ so you'll be grouping plenty.

Pfft, since I am farming for my Reaper, I am soloing most the time now. Once I am done getting the money for the crystals I will be DONE with major farming. It will just be PVPing and raids for a long while.

Yeah I'm looking to get into PVP soon meself but I'm enjoying my new Pally too much.

Yeah, yeah...but hopefully I'll be with my friends then.

I dunno, right now I just want to get kind of caught up...I can go back through again with another character at a later date. I'm sick of the low-level stuff. I'm not entirely sure this is a game I want to put a lot of time and money into, so I'd rather get the badass stuff first and see how cool it really can be before I take my time.

Heh, well, you won't be getting any badass stuff until the later levels (translation, a couple hundred hours of gameplay), so don't get too excited just yet.

I made a gnome mage for now...and not 5 minutes into the game, some lvl 25 douche challenges me to a duel. I tell him no. So he offers me 5 silver to duel him. I make him pay me first, then I declined again and logged out.

I am so in love with this game. I'm about 1200xp short of lvl 9 and it's just so much fun!

Man, the servers were really sucking tonight. For the last half hour, I could not stay on. I would log in, I could move around and everything, but I couldn't type. I could receive mesasges, but not send. And then after a few minutes, I would get booted.

I couldn't even exit the game via the menu. I could click on it as many times as I wanted and nothing would happen. I had to alt+tab and close it via Task Manager. Not cool.

I finally got lvl 10 though. I hope I can get some cool spells now because my gnomish mage is really starting to struggle.
