Hahaha.. that..was a toss. There was no loss of grip, he needed to get the phone out of frame at all cost and thus the awkward "drop". Also deciding whos phone is whos as soon as the take is done? Sorry, after so many plannings, practice runs, and takes, it would be painfully obvious who's phone is who's at the end of the take.

I remember there was some online publication somewhere that compared how durable a bunch of different phones were in drop tests. Iphones were among the most likely to break.

I think it's mainly because of the exposed glass edge. I bet with a silicon sleeve it wouldn't break as easily.
