There's a noticeable lack of input from nVidia to this thread. Is the forum just here so we can sympathise with each other over our shared troubles, or is anything going to get done about it?

Why did it take over a month before anybody from nVidia responded to the thread at all? Is anybody likely to read the bug reports any sooner than they seem to read the forum?

Please don't take this personally. I know the engineers do their best and resourcing levels are decided higher up.

BTW: My thread 180314 is probably the same issue and also contains a bug report.

I doubt it. You have a different laptop model, a different graphics card and the symptoms are different.

For over a year now, I have tried almost every single driver version. To no avail. Is there any particular reason to think that 295.59 is going to work?

Epic crash!

But this time I was able to use the computer for some good 5 minutes before it crashed.This is new.

As usual with the newer versions of the drivers, I was still able to move the cursor with the mouse. The computer was otherwise unresponsive and I needed to force a hard reboot by pressing down the power button.

I am currently installing the old drivers and I see the following a message at the top of the screen:

6618] nvidia 0000:01:00.0: PCI INT A disabled

I checked logs found common error NVRM: GPU at 0000:01:00.0 has fallen off the bus.

* Clevo and G92 users only : Rather than this error any other errors you observed when freeze occurred?
