That's good news. Can they use the existing assets or do they have to make from scratch?

If your refering to my post, then yes - they would have to start from scratch using the source engine just like Black Mesa Source.

:I hope they can find an ok amateur cast. There have been some really bad voice work on otherwise good mods. |

I really want to play this, it would be a shame if it gets ditched or something.. i mean so many years they have to be really close otherwise its a new dnf that took forever and once it came out it was pure crap in the end.

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012...urce-part-two/ It's really interesting reading in part 2 where he said that the structure of the team naturally shifted into a cabal-like structure that Valve themselves use where everyone just sort of does what they think they need to do and removed the manager "bottlenecks".

I will always hold Half-Life in a special place in my heart- hands down my favorite game series. However with how much time has passed and as I get older I find myself caring less and less. Valve could announce HL3 tomorrow and I'm not sure how excited I'd be. Maybe because I'm jaded from all the "AAA" titles that are not PC-centric and have focus on consoles. Maybe I'm just getting older and it's more difficult for me to become excited about this kind of stuff. I don't know.
I'm looking forward to this but again... losing interest with each passing day. |

It would have been really awesome if they re-made uplink to whet our appetite. Remember that?!
