I found it in the Steam forums, a Remedy rep tells you how to activate it using the app launch flags.

That's what I'm doing. Nvidia and Remedy are both working to get SLi working, but it's nice to know those who are testing are getting good results.

I finally picked it up last night along with LA Noire which was on sale for $20.
Uggg.... made it through chapter 1. The tension and atmosphere is NUTS!! I think honestly what makes it that way is the fact that you're not some super agile endless ammo warrior of death. You're genuinely "normal"; slow, can't really strafe and avoid attacks that easily, 6 rounds of ammo and bullet by bullet reloading. Anyone catch the barcode at Alan's house? Reads "Huh, Turns out this isn't too bad even if you're not sitting on a couch when you play it. Who knew!" ![]() Referencing the reason the game was originally canned from PC. Quote:

LOL, Remedy are great devs. It's great they are on Steam as well as their own forums helping out and giving insight into how the game was made and ported.

getting my butt kicked on the trail up to lovers peak or whatever it's called. Those bastards come up from behind you and by the time you get hit by them and try to turn around and shine your light on em, the guys that I was previously focusing on are on top of me.
It sure does look nice though! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I am on the first Special Feature episode. Just started today. 1 more week and Alan Wake's American Nightmare is out on Steam. I prepurchased it.

I'm about to start this. Hope it runs ok at 2560x1440 on a 590GTX. Won't hold my breath though. Might have to cut some special effects.

Running amazing @ 2560x1440 with my 590GTX. Thinking I might skip the 600 series.
Great game so far. A few annoying enemies, but the tension and atmosphere is great. I also love the throw backs to Max Payne. Recommend everyone get this while it and the stand alone are 50% off. |

Yeah the enemies could get quite annoying, but the story progression pulls you in and the lighting really does the game a lot of justice. I've just finished the game this morning. Awesome game. However, I couldn't see myself replaying it on Nightmare mode just for the rest of the manuscripts. Alan Wake's American Nightmare is around the corner. I can't wait.

Yup. I'm glad I waited for proper SLI support. I followed the progress to get SLI in and Remedy worked their butts off to get it running.
It's above 60 most places, I get the odd stutter leaving menu screens and any time there are a ton of particles, but none in the thick of the action. One bad thing, terrible low res pre rendered cut scenes with awful lip sync. The game was made for English wasn't it? : : |

Who is playing American Nightmare?
I am. It's more action and more repetitive, but with better controls. More for fans of the first, but it's priced really well IMHO. |
