Sorry but a GTX 580 handily trounces the old GTX 295 in a number of games, they really are not that close at all from the benchmarks that I just looked at. Heck it sits nicely between the HD 7950 and HD 7970, its been a great card and probably feels long in the tooth because of how long its been out but boy it has held together great.
