I have my doubts it's even going to work if he intends to put all three in the same computer and does not have a Silverstone Raven case.

The top two cards are going to burn in any other case.

You really need a couple more monitors also Roadie. Your rig is going to be like a Toyota Prious with a Dodge Hemi engine in it. Totally unbalanced.

Well he is getting water blocks so cooling wont be an issue.

However, I'd say even with his 3 6970s he could use another monitor, maybe two. But for certain with the 7970s.

My 6970's on air worked fine. The 7970's have even better air coolers and use the same power so I bet they will work even better.

I don't want a couple more monitors. I've had 3 at one time before and went back to 1. Never used the other two enough.

First 7970's showing up here starting at $750AUD. Haha! only available at two stores so far though so hopefully prices go down at least $100 when at more stores.

Okay staticice is a bit slow, found them on other sites for $699. I'm not feeling the need to upgrade like a few months ago so there's no point in jumping on these gouged prices until I'm sure I want to upgrade.

australia the prices are a bit jacked up so i am going to wait a bit or atleast for the 7950 results.

right now ure looking at 700-800 for a 7970 no o/c edition, standard stock clocks with stock cooler....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy too much for a single gpu tbh....

and ati can actually do this since there is no competition for the card atm...

Did they have the dual open face fans like these 7970s? Will be interested to hear how it works out for you.

As a person who always uses three, I don't get this. However, people thought I was nuts putting my 3007 WFP-HC in storage so I could game on a 22" TN panel in 3d or at 120Hz, so I have to respect your position or be a hypocrite.
