Wow... great job on the update.
I don't have any mods of any sort installed... and now my game won't launch at all Game developers wonder why people pirate games? If I pirated it, I'd at least be able to play the damn thing. Instead I've dropped $60 on a game that won't even launch. What a bunch of ![]()

I'll copy my .exe before I launch it tonight... Would launching steam and setting to offline mode prevent the update? |

Not going online with Steam again until somebody fixes this steam-ing pile of crap. (and I wouldn't be surprised if the fix comes from outside Steam/Bethesda) |

Damn I love this community! They're all over the problem like rash. And they have a solution:
http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=985 They ported the Fallout NV 4GB launcher for use with Skyrim, and they did it in under six hours. Edit: Seems to be a work in progress. Based on Nexus and Bethsoft forum posts, it works for a few people, but not the majority. Edit2: if you grab the fnv4gb.exe and rename the sk4gb_helper.dll to fnv4gb_helper.dll, it works. I just did a bunch of outdoor travel and fast travel with no crashes. If I use the default launcher, it insta-crashes on fast travel.

Mine got patched earlier today. I copied my original exe file back into the skyrim folder, applied the memory fix and it ran fine.

Not sure why people even bother with the memory fix. I don't use it and I haven't experienced any CTDs. I've logged in more than 40 hours.
As for the FXAA, I used it and thought it looked good until I went back to good ol AA and TAA. FXAA affects the quality of the textures. With it on, it felt like I was playing on the Xbox 360 in 720p.

People bother with it because it works, and has been known to work on previous games in the series, as well as the Fallout games. |

With the vanilla game, I could play 2-2.5 hours and then CTD. It was almost like clockwork. Once the LAA change was made, the CTD's stopped. The game ran six hours that night before I shut it down to get some shuteye.
