My search prowess was on point, automatic updates ARE OFF. No, blaming Bethesda for having online service for OFFLINE game. It isn't even multiplayer. A more fair comparison is having Netflix, them telling you the opening UI is only a few MB and will only take a few minutes to download, then taking 6 hours to download the UI, THEN stream the movie from the internet, eventhough you have a physical copy of movie in the Blue Ray.

~ then type TM then hit enter.
A word of warning though, it won't display a lot of stuff that otherwise you'd probably want... like the actual console itself. if you toggle the hud off, when you hit the ~ again, the console will pull up but it's invisible since you hid it. typing TM then enter again will make it re-appear. you know you're back in the console if the game screen pauses.

I used the large address aware fix mentioned here.
http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/11/14/th...m-mods-so-far/ It links to this tutorial here. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=134 After using this, I played for about an hour and had a crash. I think that was caused by me alt+tabbing like mad checking some stuff. After that crash , I restarted Skyrim (via Steam and with Steam running in the background), and it ran fine for about 6 hours straight. Hopefully, this has fixed my crash to desktop. Will see as the week progresses. |

so if you run the game from a shortcut to the actual exe file rather than lauching it from steam, does steam not track your in game hours?
because I've logged more hours than what steam is saying but I've been running the game from a shortcut to the actual exe file to bypass the skyrim launcher thing. Also, this is spectacular to see the cloud/environmental effects in full swing. At the end, you see how they have the night sky rotating at a different angle than the 2 orbiting moons which I think is really cool. go to link, pick HD, go full screen ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qxTTQL8a7s

Yeah, I fought my first Blood Dragon today also... was a freaking pain. Then later on I fought a blood dragon and regular dragon at the same time and it was somewhat difficult, but I'd come further along since the first BD.

<Raises hand> Now if only this company laptop had the space and power to play... Oh well, at least I'm racking up hours on the time card like a madman, so next week is going to have a nice long Skyrim marathon!
