The steam summer sale kicked off last year on June 24th, so if there is one this year, it may happen pretty soon. The huge TF2 update that is happening this week may be leading up to the beginning of the sale but just speculation at this point. There has only been one big summer sale and it was last year but we'll see soon enough

There's a thread on it somewhere, but basically it's not that great of a game and controls better with a gamepad than mouse+keyboard, but it is decently fun to get to play around with the water. There are better water graphics out there, but I don't know of a 3D game with better water physics.
