I really thought this game would motivate me to get my PS3 back but the reaction was so cold to it...

Well if you want to listen to others that's fine, but that's how you miss good games like this and Alpha Protocol. Plus it's a non Steam game.

Finally got FFXIII for PS3 when it was $30 or something brand new. So far, it's pretty good and graphically it's beautiful. I really like the new combat system. Seems to work very well and fun. Can't wait to get farther in the game.

Lighting is so badass.

FFXIII is a 720p game on PS3 (1080p for pre rendered cinematics) while XBOX 360 is running in 576p. Both version can be upscaled to 1080p though.

Makes sense, the upscaling was very good then. The game looked a little bland in parts and I put this down to it being 1080p so they couldn't go all out on other details but I guess it's a pretty common thing in FF games to have bland looking environments as well as stunning ones.
