Official pain in the ass
|
I can't get an itnernet connection to work on Fedora Core 5.
Could someone please guide me through the necessary steps? I'd be using a static ip address in order to be used as a linux server. This is slightly urgent, so any type of help is greatly appreciated.

YOU sir, are the man that's going to help me out... I just know it.
![]() First off, I figured out what was wrong with the internet connection. I had forgot to put in the DNS servers. It is now working fine. ![]() I would actually be very, very thankful for any tips you might give me, seeing as this is the first time ever I work with Linux. I particularly want to reduce boot up time, seeing as it takes quite a long time at moment. Thanks!
