Default NVreg_RegisterForACPIEvents kernel module option

Hi there,

I would like to know, what exactly is the job of this nVidia kernel module parameter:

NVreg_RegisterForACPIEvents

How does it influence the driver´s behaviour?

Is it necessary for proper ACPI use?

Thanks
