Default What software makes use of VDPAU?

Hi there,

I have an Acer notebook with nVidia 210M and 319.17 driver setup.

I wonder, what Linux software makes use of VDPAU? I only know about XBMC. What about video encoders, e.g. for MPEG4-AVC or DivX? Does ffmpeg use VDPAU? Avidemux? I want to cut/encode a video and would like to chose VDPAU enabled software to speed things up.

VDPAU can only be used to decode videos, it's not meant for video encoding.

VDPAU is supported by mplayer, gstreamer, ffmpeg, VLC and xine.
