Hi all. In the next 2 weeks I will build a new gaming PC with the ASUS P8Z77 V Deluxe as mobo. I have been using a Creative SB Xi Platinum as my soundcard for the last few pc's Ive made. Should I junk it and go to the sound off the mobo or stick to the dedicated PCI card? Thanks for any input. I know drivers for the SB are getting old.

I would probably use the MB or get a new soundcard.

Get away from Creative. I've been a loyal user since the PCI 128 days. But the driver bull**** has just gotten old. I have sleep issues linked direclty to the cards.
If the onboard Realtek sounds good enough, stick with it. If you're doing optical out, stick with onboard. There are other players than Creative now a day. |

Never mind. I have to use onboard Audio because this new board does not have a PCI slot. Its ok, it sounds AMAZING! Good bye SB!
Thanks for all replies.
