GTX 660Ti only 705Mhz

Hi Guys!

In a nutshell:

Linux 310.32
Kernel 3.5.7-gentoo
NV-Controll 1.28
Xorg 11.0


Windows: Graphics: 1293Mhz, Memory: 3004Mhz

Linux: Graphics: 705Mhz, Memory: 3004Mhz

Powermizer ends with 705 / 3004 in Level 3, same like Level 2.

Whats wrong there? Booting windows = fine, so it looks like a software problem...

Please, run any Unigine demo with the same settings under Linux and Windows and check if you have the same results.

If results are indeed the same, then Linux drivers show incorrect information.

ok - here are my results:
LINUX

WINDOWS


....leaving us some questions:
If that card is really running 588Mhz less, shouldn't the results be worse by far?
Why is max FPS @ windows a lot better?
Why is power consumption in linux 10 watt less? ^^
Why are my results that bad overall? ^^

...and the best question:
If its only a cosmetical bug the the driver reporting to less speed (in both unigine&&nv-control), why is it that hard to fix it?

anyone got anything to add?

You should have run Windows benchmark in OpenGL mode.

Comparing Direct3D 11 and OpenGL is unfair. Even under Windows NVIDIA drivers have significantly worse performance in OpenGL than in DirectX.

According to many posts on different forums, nvidia-settings show incorrect information about current GPU clocks - there isn't any performance penalty in Linux.
