People are reporting that the new 660ti card has a release driver for Windows that has a built-in 330MHz limit on the pixel clock, so it looks like nVidia is actually pulling this the wrong way on purpose.
I purchased the 680 purely for the 400+MHz capability, back then (3 months ago) the reality was that nVidia was the way to go, while AMD had limitations. As it stands now, the table is turning - AMD cards will allow a pixel clock beyond 400MHz, while nVidia is removing that capability. What to do with my 680 now? |

Also when hooked up via display port there is still the 400 Mhz limit which should not be the case because DP allows for 475 Mhz.

Still driver-limited to 400MHz pixel clock with the 310.14 driver.
Please, make an effort for the enthusiast crowd! |

Ahh, so this is why I couldn't overclock my 1440p monitor! I wish I knew this beforehand. Window's users are lucky
